Kuzey Anadolu Fay\u0131 (KAF): <\/strong>Bu fay, do\u011fudan bat\u0131ya do\u011fru yakla\u015f\u0131k 1200 km uzunlu\u011fa sahip olup, derin \u00e7izgisel vadilerde tek \u00e7izgi halinde,&nbsp; fay \u00fczerindeki yakla\u015f\u0131k D-B uzan\u0131ml\u0131 ovalarda ve bunlara yak\u0131n kesimlerde gerek \u00e7atallanarak gerekse birbirine paralel faylardan olu\u015fan bir zon halinde a\u015fa\u011f\u0131daki il ve il\u00e7eleri izler. Yerle\u015fim yerlerinin yan\u0131ndaki parantez i\u00e7lerinde aletsel d\u00f6nemdeki b\u00fcy\u00fck depremlerin tarihleri belirtilmi\u015ftir. Varto (1966), Karl\u0131ova (1966), Erzincan (1939-1992), Su\u015fehri, Re\u015fadiye (1939), Niksar (1939), Erbaa (1942), Ladik, Karg\u0131 (1943), \u00c7erke\u015f (1951), Gerede, Bolu (1944), D\u00fczce (1999), Adapazar\u0131 (1943), Akyaz\u0131 (1957-1967),G\u00f6lc\u00fck (1999), Yalova (1963), M\u00fcrefte (1912), Manyas (1964), G\u00f6nen (1969), Biga (1983), Yenice (1953). Adapazar\u0131\u2019na kadar hemen hemen d\u00fcz bir \u00e7izgi ve\/veya zon halinde devam eden KAF, burada iki b\u00fcy\u00fck kola ayr\u0131l\u0131r. Kuzeydeki kol Sapanca g\u00fcneyinden, \u0130zmit k\u00f6rfezi, Marmara denizi kuzeyinden Saros k\u00f6rfezine girer. G\u00fcneydeki kol ise Adapazar\u0131\u2019ndan Geyve, Pamukova, \u0130znik g\u00f6l\u00fc, Manyas, G\u00f6nen, Biga g\u00fcneyi, Yenice \u00fczerinden, Edremit k\u00f6rfezine do\u011fru uzanmaktad\u0131r. Fay\u0131n toplam at\u0131m de\u011feri i\u00e7in 1960-1970\u2019li y\u0131llarda verilen 80 km, 100 km ve 350 km gibi de\u011ferler son y\u0131llarda yap\u0131lan ayr\u0131nt\u0131l\u0131 saha \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131yla 15-25 km aras\u0131nda de\u011fi\u015fen de\u011ferlere yerini b\u0131rakm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>2<\/strong><strong>&#8211;<\/strong><strong>Do\u011fu Anadolu Fay\u0131 (DAF): <\/strong>Do\u011fu Anadolu Fay\u0131, kuzeydo\u011fuda Karl\u0131ova&nbsp; birle\u015fim noktas\u0131ndan ba\u015flar ve G\u00f6yn\u00fck, A\u011fa\u00e7eli, Bing\u00f6l, Palu, Hazar g\u00f6l\u00fc, P\u00f6t\u00fcrge, \u00c7elikhan, G\u00f6lba\u015f\u0131 ve Kahramanmara\u015f\u2019\u0131n 15 km GD suna (T\u00fcrko\u011flu) kadar uzan\u0131r. Kuzeydeki kollar Helenik-K\u0131br\u0131s yay\u0131 ile birle\u015firken g\u00fcneyde kalan kolu ise \u00d6l\u00fcdeniz Fay\u0131\u2019na do\u011fru uzan\u0131r. DAF n\u0131n an\u0131lan g\u00fczergahtaki toplam uzunlu\u011fu 400-450 km olup, bu ana k\u0131s\u0131mdaki kayma h\u0131z\u0131 Taymaz ve di\u011f., (1991) taraf\u0131ndan y\u0131ll\u0131k 25-31 mm, Demirta\u015f ve Erkmen (2000) taraf\u0131ndan y\u0131ll\u0131k 5 mm civar\u0131nda \u00f6nerilmi\u015ftir.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">DAF da, KAF gibi tek bir kayma d\u00fczlemi olmay\u0131p, bir \u00e7ok par\u00e7alardan meydana gelmi\u015f bir fay zonu durumundad\u0131r. Bu k\u0131r\u0131k zonu 2-3 km geni\u015fli\u011finde bir alan i\u00e7erisinde \u00e7ok say\u0131da paralel, yar\u0131 paralel faylardan meydana gelmi\u015ftir. B\u00fct\u00fcn\u00fcyle zon, fay diklikleri, s\u0131cak ve so\u011fuk su kaynaklar\u0131, bir s\u0131ra k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck g\u00f6l, batakl\u0131k, gen\u00e7 volkan konileri ve traverten dizileri ile di\u011fer morfolojik yap\u0131lar\u0131n yard\u0131m\u0131yla kolayl\u0131kla tan\u0131nabilmektedir.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Fay\u0131n Hazar G\u00f6l\u00fc ile Gen\u00e7 aras\u0131ndaki k\u0131sm\u0131n\u0131n b\u00fcy\u00fck levhalar\u0131n (Arap-Anadolu) s\u0131n\u0131r\u0131n\u0131 olu\u015fturan bir zon i\u00e7inde geli\u015fti\u011fi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclebilir. Hazar G\u00f6l\u00fc ve Palu aras\u0131nda, fay\u0131n do\u011frultusunun k\u0131salma eksenine dik oldu\u011fu b\u00f6lgede ise yanal at\u0131mdan \u00e7ok k\u0131vr\u0131mlanmalar ve bindirmeler beklenir. Bing\u00f6l-Karl\u0131ova aras\u0131nda fay\u0131n dar bir zon i\u00e7erisinde do\u011frultusundan sapmadan uzanmas\u0131, fay\u0131n kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131kl\u0131 bloklar\u0131ndaki k\u0131r\u0131k sistemlerinin bloklar\u0131n d\u00f6nme hareketine zorlanmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 g\u00f6sterecek \u015fekilde her iki blokta da ayn\u0131 konumu g\u00f6stermeleri, fay dolay\u0131n\u0131n k\u0131vr\u0131mlanma ile sonu\u00e7lanm\u0131\u015f olacak yersel s\u0131k\u0131\u015fma b\u00f6lgeleri ta\u015f\u0131mamas\u0131 fay\u0131n bu b\u00f6lgede, b\u00f6lgeyi etkisi alt\u0131nda bulunduran kuvvetlere uygun bir do\u011frultuda geli\u015fmi\u015f oldu\u011funa i\u015faret say\u0131lmal\u0131d\u0131r.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Fay\u0131n bu kesiminin Kuzey Anadolu Fay\u0131 (KAF) ile birle\u015fme kesiminde do\u011frultusundan saparak do\u011fuya do\u011fru b\u00fck\u00fclmesi KAF boyunca s\u00fcr\u00fcme ile elde edilebilir.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Fay\u0131n ya\u015f\u0131 \u00e7e\u015fitli ara\u015ft\u0131r\u0131c\u0131lar taraf\u0131ndan 4-5 milyon y\u0131l olarak belirlenmi\u015ftir. Ancak tarihsel ve aletsel depremler g\u00f6z \u00f6n\u00fcne al\u0131nd\u0131\u011f\u0131nda DAF n\u0131n aktivitesinin KAF\u2019 na g\u00f6re daha az oldu\u011fu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclebilir (KAF n\u0131n her 300-400 y\u0131lda bir tekrarlanan bir seri b\u00fcy\u00fck depremlerle, M&gt;7, k\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131na kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131k; DAF\u2019 n\u0131n, M&lt;7, b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcndeki depremlerle ve \u00e7ok daha geni\u015f aral\u0131kl\u0131, M\uf0b37, 1000 y\u0131l, b\u00fcy\u00fck depremlerle k\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131 gibi). Fay\u0131n kuzeye do\u011fru uzant\u0131s\u0131 Pasifik\u2019ten ge\u00e7erek Gorda ve Juan de Fuca okyanus s\u0131rt\u0131na kadar devam eder. Bu durum ile San Andreas fay\u0131 iki okyanus s\u0131rt\u0131n\u0131 birbirine ba\u011flayan 1600 km uzunlu\u011funda tipik bir transform fay niteli\u011findedir (Wilson,1965). Kuzeydo\u011fu do\u011frultusunda uzanan fay\u0131n uzunlu\u011fu yakla\u015f\u0131k 260 km kadard\u0131r.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">San Andreas Fay sisteminin g\u00fcney kesiminde, fay\u0131n \u00e7atallanan kollar\u0131ndan biri olan San Jacinto fay\u0131 ise, ancak Kuvaterner sonlar\u0131nda aktif durumda olan o zamandan bu yana toplam 24 km lik sa\u011f yanal at\u0131m\u0131n olu\u015ftu\u011fu bir fayd\u0131r.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">San Andreas Fay\u0131 da t\u0131pk\u0131 KAF gibi tek bir k\u0131r\u0131k \u00e7izgisi olmay\u0131p, az \u00e7ok birbirine paralel ya da kademeli olarak s\u0131ralanm\u0131\u015f bir \u00e7ok fay segmentinden, fay kollar\u0131ndan olu\u015fmu\u015f bir sistemdir. Geni\u015fli\u011fi birka\u00e7 y\u00fcz metre ile en \u00e7ok 10 km aras\u0131nda de\u011fi\u015fen bu zon boyunca yer yer \u00f6telenmi\u015f dereler, kesilmi\u015f tara\u00e7alar, moloz tepecikleri, uzam\u0131\u015f s\u0131rtlar ve grabenler, \u00e7\u00f6k\u00fcnt\u00fc g\u00f6lleri, kaynaklar ve travertenler g\u00f6zlenmektedir.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">Bir \u00e7ok ara\u015ft\u0131r\u0131c\u0131ya g\u00f6re San Andreas Fay\u0131\u2019n\u0131n ya\u015f\u0131, \u00dcst Miyosen-\u00dcst Oligosen dir. Sa\u011f yanal kayma hareketi esas itibariyle \u00dcst Miyosen\u2019de ba\u015flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">San Andreas fay\u0131 ile Kuzey Anadolu Fay\u0131 aras\u0131nda belirgin benzerlikler vard\u0131r. Her ikisi de sa\u011f yanal, aktif do\u011frultu at\u0131ml\u0131 faylar olup, en bariz fark; son y\u00fczy\u0131l i\u00e7erisinde meydana gelen y\u0131k\u0131c\u0131 deprem say\u0131lar\u0131d\u0131r. San Andreas fay\u0131nda son y\u00fczy\u0131l i\u00e7erisinde iki b\u00fcy\u00fck deprem meydana gelmi\u015fken Kuzey Anadolu Fay\u0131 \u00fczerinde son y\u00fczy\u0131l i\u00e7erisinde 20 y\u0131k\u0131c\u0131 deprem meydana gelmi\u015ftir.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\"><strong>4<\/strong><strong>.
